Shadow Work: Embracing Your Dark Side for Real Growth

Has there ever been a time when you felt like you were missing something from the past? Maybe it’s an old version of yourself you secretly wish you could bring back. Maybe it’s a behavior you once had that makes you cringe now. Sometimes, you catch yourself having a random flashback of something you did…

How to Get Out of a Slump & Romanticize Your Life Like That Girl

We’ve all had those days where we wake up and feel nothing. No excitement, no motivation—just an endless list of things to do, and zero willpower to actually do them. And if we’re being honest? Sometimes it’s not just one day. Sometimes it’s a whole phase, where you start wondering if you’ll ever get back…

Who Are You, Really? Exploring the Fluidity of Self

Ever wondered which parts of you are truly you—the unchanging core that stays the same no matter what—versus the parts that can evolve with the right mindset? I’ve been told more than once that I have a “strong character,” meaning I don’t change my entire personality so easily. And while that sounds flattering, it’s always…

Game On: How to Build a Life Worth Winning

Imagine this: you’re starting a game for the first time, and it feels impossible. Your character stumbles, falls, and misses every target. Frustrating, right? But then, you give it another go. You refine your moves, find a rhythm, and suddenly… it clicks. Each level becomes a dance—challenging, but oh-so-rewarding. You’re hooked, not just because you’re…

Free Will vs. Determinism: A Perspective on Choice and Destiny

When we think about life’s big questions, the debate between free will and determinism always comes up. Are we really in control of our choices, or is everything already decided for us? New Year’s Resolutions: Break the Paradox

2024 is coming to a close, and you know what that means—it’s time to ask ourselves the big questions: What are my resolutions? What do I want to improve on? What are my goals for health, finances, and personal growth? I’m a big fan of New Year’s resolutions. There’s something magical about celebrating the start…

This is how it all started…

Hi there! I’m Milica, and I’m thrilled to welcome you to my little corner of the internet.

I started this blog as a way to share my passion for philosophy and mental wellbeing with the world. Whether you’re here to learn about mental health or just simply implement healthy routines, I hope you find this space helpful, engaging, and maybe even a little bit entertaining!

A bit about me: I’m currently doing an apprenticeship as a programmer in Switzerland, meaning I work and still have an education to learn everything about my profession. In the free time I enjoy trying out new activities, but the main interests that stuck with me were reading, painting and doing different physical activities. I’ve always had a love for philosophy and figuring my personal meaning of life, and I’ve done so much reasearch the past few years and made my own experiences, which is what led me to create this blog. I’m excited to share my journey and insights with you.

What can you expect from this blog? I’ll be diving into topics like stoicism, mental health, a good work-school-life balance or just simply romanticizing life, and I’m always looking for new ideas and inspiration. My goal is to create a community where we can share, learn, and grow together.

When I’m not blogging, you can usually find me in a book store struggling to prevent buying 10 new books at once, or enjoying a good cup of coffee.

Thank you for stopping by, and I’m so glad to have you here. Feel free to explore, leave a comment, or reach out—I’d love to hear from you!

Cheers,
Milica Simikic
